Organic waste treatment

Microglass has developed a technological mix that transforms, by means of a physical-chemical process, organic waste to inorganic material (soil/fertilizer) possessing optimal fertilizing properties, almost odourless, combining a liquid catalyst and the microwave properties.

The ‘waste’ (OFMSW – organic fraction of municipal solid waste or simply humidity, excrements of rabbit, chicken, swine and turkey litter) gets mashed and mixed (with the aim to make it granulometrically homogeneous) and if needed, water, catalyst, soil and/or peat can be added.

This mixture irradiated with microwaves undergoes a process (in a very short time) corresponding to the decomposition that would last longer in nature. The product resulting from the reaction and the microwave drying is a fertilizer both in aspect and odour.
