Resin and adhesive polymerization
Based on the studies on resin, Microglass has conceived double-scope microwave systems:
- Resin application for surface coating
- Creation of new products (for recompacting recycled materials or pure polymerization materials). As an example, the pure polymerization proved to be very efficient in the production of boat hulls, and the coating applications have been tested on the marble surfaces.
Worth noticing is the creation of new products resulting from recycled materials recompacting.
It is enough to think that products which, for their consistency and features are perfect to be used for flooring, shock-proof materials, rubber products or stabilization ballasts, can be obtained from polymerization of resins combined with inert materials (materials for recycling) such as rubber covers for automobile, plastic, glass, tiles, foundry rejects, sludge from glass processing and many others.
Marble technology
In the sector of marble and natural stones, Microglass has improved various innovative systems, plants in line or static curing tunnels, combining different technologies, such as infrared, microwaves and hot air.
For instance, Microglass systems were implemented in machineries for compound materials polymerization (quartz or granites like high-hardness primary materials, polyester or epoxy resins like binders and oxides for coloring) for kitchen and bathroom tops or for heavy-usage floors (for commercial centers, offices, restaurants, shops, etc.).
Combining the Microglass technologies, it is possible to create thermic curves specific for the material under process (microwave pre-heating phase and hot air and subsequent phase of resin polymerization with Microred).
Moreover, the implementation of the microwave technology has been initiated on the in line machineries for the resin-bonding of sheets and/or strips of marble, granite and travertine; thanks to the versatility of the Microglass technology, the plants are adaptable in relation to the product and to the type of the resin, and can be set up according to the required production speed.
